A Word from Pastor Kirk:

Hi Conejo Family,

For those of you who missed our “Family Chat” this past Sunday, April 30, here are a few notes.

I started by giving an update on our 4 big priorities for 2017:

  1. Kids & Youth
  2. Worship
  3. Local Missions/ Hotel Ministry/ Benevolence
  4. Global Missions/ Nepal church planting

I reported that these are ALL moving forward really well.
The only thing not moving too well in 2017 is the finances to support these initiatives.

John Barbour shared a financial update.
(Bottom line: It takes $34k a month to support the ministries of Conejo Church at home and abroad.  We have been running almost $6k behind each month in 2017, so our reserves are almost at zero.)

Ben Rhodes shared about the process of determining the priorities/ budget in council meetings.  John & Ben are both members of the Conejo Leadership Council & Finance Team.

We don’t talk about money very often at Conejo,  most of you have been unaware of the need, so now you know…….

All of us working together is what the Lord wants!  I think HE has given us this opportunity to get on our knees and to come together as one.
