Hi, Conejo Family!

I hope you had a blessed Labor Day weekend. We had a great turn out last Sunday for the kick-off of our new series in 2 Timothy. Please be part

of it over the next month! If you missed the series introduction, please catch up on YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, or Apple Podcast. You will learn a lot about Timothy as a young pastor and his amazing mentor, the Apostle Paul.

This coming Sunday we’ll continue and dig into 2 Timothy chapter 1. We will be talking about how important it is to keep the Gospel pure. 2000 years ago, as well as now, Christians have had a tendency to add or subtract things from the simple Gospel. We will also be talking about how our spiritual gifts interact with “the Gospel of grace”.

Here is a quick financial update. Our giving has been very low this Summer. We fell behind $4k in June, $1k in July, and $9k in August. Please pray right now about how you can help financially at this critical time.

After Sunday’s service please stick around for our quarterly Conejo Family Chat. We will share some specifics on finances, introduce you to Lucas, our new Youth Director, and let you know about changes to the classrooms and opportunities for outreach.

Family Chat | Sept. 11

If Conejo Church is your home, please plan to stay after the service this Sunday, September 11 for a short chat about church life, finances, fall activities, etc. We won’t keep you too long, but it’s important for all of us to be informed about what’s happening in the life of our church family.

Conejo Recovery Group

We can’t wait to get started this fall! Our Conejo recovery group will be using the Celebrate Recovery program to help and support anyone who has been affected by various addictions. Early Morning Hike
Saturday, Sept. 24

Come discover Bard Lake with us. It’s a local, fairly easy hike that you won’t want to miss out on! If you do yoga with Kathleen on Saturday’s, you will be able to get to that in plenty of time.

2022 Fall Men’s Retreat
Sept 29 thru Oct. 2

Sign ups are closed but you can still get on the waiting list for this retreat in case spots open up again. Just let us know at: men@conejochurch.com. Cost is $230.
