Conejo Weekly News! May 11, 2023

Hello, Conejo Church family,

Happy almost Mother’s Day! I can’t wait to see you this weekend, as we celebrate all the women that God has graciously placed in our lives. Our Conejo kids will be greeting each lady with a rose as she arrives on Sunday, so that will be really fun. If you’re a mom, please use your mom power this week. Invite your kids or your grandkids to join you for church at God’s place and not just for brunch at your favorite place :).

What if you found out this week that you were adopted? Would that change how you see yourself? Would that also change how you look at the world? Guess what?! If you’re a follower of Jesus, that’s exactly what you are, adopted! If you don’t believe me, check out Romans 8:14-17, Ephesians 1:3-14, and Ephesians 4:3-7. This Sunday, for Mother’s Day, I’ll be preaching about our adoption as daughters and sons of the King! Don’t miss it.

We praise God for the nurturing hearts of all the beautiful women here at Conejo Church, whether they love others as moms-in-law, step-moms, bio moms, foster/adopt moms, grand and great-grand moms or spiritual moms and big sisters. Let’s encourage our families, younger and older, to show up on Sunday so we can celebrate together!
