Conejo Weekly News! August 18, 2022

Hey, Conejo family,

I hope August is going well for you so far! This is an awesome week for church happenings… Today, Thursday, is our Day of Prayer. Please join us in the sanctuary at 7PM as we seek the Lord together on behalf of our community and each other.

This Saturday is our Family Movie Night with the Muppets Movie, s’mores, and glow sticks. Please invite some friends to join you out on the patio. It will be a blast.

This Sunday, our own Michele Telfer will be speaking about Elijah. It says several times in the passage she will be sharing, “The word of the Lord came to Elijah”. Are YOU thirsty for the Word of the Lord in your own life, or not really? How do you know if you are hearing His voice? Are you ready to step out in faith when you do? Please start thinking and praying about these questions over the next few days.

One more amazing Sunday lunch in the books! This is such a sweet time for us a family of faith! The book signing was fun, too! All in all, another amazing Conejo weekend!

Do you want to join others in prayer? Do you need prayer for yourself or your loved ones? Come at 7pm an hour of prayer with your family of faith. These times are so important for the health of our community. See you in the sanctuary!

Summer Movie Night
Saturday, August 20

Come at 7pm for a movie, s’mores and more. This is a perfect way to end our summer as a family of faith! Everyone’s welcome. We’ll gather in the courtyard in front of the fellowship hall. See you there! Send a text and ask someone to join you…

Promotion Sunday
August 21

This coming Sunday is promotion Sunday for both elementary and secondary kids. Secondary kids will be welcoming the 6th graders after the service with pizza and popsicles.

Early Morning Hike
Saturday, Sept. 24

Come discover Bard Lake with us. It’s a local, fairly easy hike that you won’t want to miss out on! If you do yoga with Kathleen on Saturday’s, you will be able to get to that in plenty of time.

2022 Fall Men’s retreat
Sept 29 thru Oct. 2

Mark your calendar now for this year’s men’s retreat! Lake Nacimiento is the destination and the guys are going to have a blast. We will be with 200 guys from 10 other local churches. We can’t wait to get started this fall! Our Conejo recovery group will be using the Celebrate Recovery program to help and support anyone who has been affected by various addictions.
