Hi, Conejo friends and family,

It seems like summer is moving by too fast. Let’s enjoy these last couple weeks together! Prioritize time with the Lord and with each other. Time is precious.

Hey, isn’t that what I taught about last Sunday? 😉

We will be wrapping up our “Building Your Life” series this coming Sunday, August 14. I can’t wait! We will hear from our Leadership Council members what the Lord has been speaking to them about over the summer and through the series. We will also be celebrating communion together.

Immediately following the service, we will have our favorite taco cart and Anne will be signing copies of her new book, “The Fourth Chair”. You would be crazy to miss this one!! Just sayin’.

I look forward to seeing each of you.

Thank You, Conejo Church

Thanks to each of you who volunteered last Saturday for the Back to School Bash (click here to see a short video)! And thank you to those who made donations and who prayed! Kids, caregivers, parents, grandparents, social workers were all enveloped in the presence of God and His love for them. It was a day full of meeting tangible and intangible needs and it was just beautiful! Can’t wait for next year!

We appreciate your prayers for Stacy and her staff as they recover and jump right back in to a full schedule of assisting hundreds of folks every week.

Men of Conejo | BBQ & Cornhole
This Saturday! (August 13)

Guys! Come for a few hours of cornhole and food! We will be at Dover/Hendrix park from 3 to 6pm. Meet at the softball field.

Conejo Sunday Lunch
This Sunday! (August 14)

Come to the Sunday service hungry and stay after for our next shared meal! Bring your best home-made salsa and guac (and a few $$) to add to the taco truck!

Book Signing
This Sunday, August 14

Anne Barbour will be signing copies of her new book, The Fourth Chair | Uncovering Your Invitation to Come Home, on the patio during our Sunday lunch. There will be a supply of books there if you would like to buy a copy.

Day of Prayer
August 18, 7pm

Come at 7pm an hour of prayer with your family of faith. These times are so important for the health of our community. See you in the sanctuary next Thursday!

Summer Movie Night
Saturday, August 20

Come at 7pm for a movie, s’mores and more. This is a perfect way to end our summer as a family of faith! Everyone’s welcome. We’ll gather in the courtyard in front of the fellowship hall. See you there!

Promotion Sunday
August 21

This will be our promotion Sunday for both elementary and secondary kids. Secondary kids will be welcoming the 6th graders after the service with pizza and popsicles.

Early Morning Hike
Saturday, Sept. 24

Come discover Bard Lake with us. It’s a local, fairly easy hike that you won’t want to miss out on! If you do yoga with Kathleen on Saturday’s, you will be able to get to that in plenty of time.

2022 Fall Men’s retreat
Sept 30 thru Oct. 3

Mark your calendar now for this year’s men’s retreat! Lake Nacimiento is the destination and the guys are going to have a blast. RSVP: men@conejochurch.com. Watch for registration info this coming week. Cost will be $250.
