I pray that you are finding your hope and meaning in Jesus every single day. He is the only lasting source of both.
What a stressful season we are going through as a nation! Even though we know the truth of Jesus and we have the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, anxiety can still get the better of us. This past Sunday, Pastor John Barbour brought a teaching on “Anxiety and Meditation” with practical help from God’s Word about how to keep our focus right. If you missed it, please don’t miss it! https://vimeo.com/595133521.
This coming Sunday, September 5, I’ll be kicking off a new series called “Word, Deed, and Spirit”. These are the three major priorities for Conejo Church as we walk into this next season together. Let’s talk about how they are also priorities to look for in any church on the planet and also in our own lives. Spoiler alert: “The Hokey Pokey” has a lot to do with this week’s sermon. Please doing miss it, even if you’re traveling. Can’t wait to see you!

Food Gift Card Drive!
We are collecting restaurant gift cards to encourage Los Robles hospital staff members. Pastor Kirk asked what would be practically helpful and the staff told him it would mean so much to have a gift card to a local eatery so they could pick up dinner for their family on the way home from work. In & Out Burger, Chick-Fil-A, and Grub Hub were specifically mentioned! Our hospital workers fight exhaustion and discouragement. This is such a simple way to bring them some relief. Thanks for helping!
Bring your gift cards to church this Sunday!
Serving Through Prayer!
Have you considered bringing your spouse and kids together to PRAY as an act of family service? What an opportunity to model the most effective way we can act on behalf of one another! Set aside 30 minutes each week for a month and practice caring for people through prayer! How about adopting…
the medical staff at Los Robles Hospital
the firemen and women of a local firehouse
the homeless community in a particular area
the wait-staff at an eatery you like to go to
the teaching/admin staff at your kids school
the elderly who live in a local care facility
Volunteer As A Family!
