Welcome to 2022! I hope you are looking forward to growing in the Lord and in community in the coming year. He has amazing things planned! If you missed my teaching this past Sunday, you may want to catch up and find out what needs to take place in your life before “amazing things” happen (Joshua 3:5).
This coming Sunday we will continue in the book of Joshua. Our theme will be WHAT TO DO and WHAT NOT TO DO in the coming year. The children of Israel had a great success that was followed by a tragic failure. What can we do to avoid an up-and-down year like that? Join us and you’ll find out!
If you haven’t already, please spend some time asking the Lord for a “Rock Word”. This is an annual tradition at Conejo of asking God for one word that represents what he wants to do in you and through your life in the coming year.
We are also looking for a few more friendly people who can greet others and make them feel welcome with us on the weekends. If you’re interested, please email info@conejochurch.com and say “put me in coach!”
Can’t wait to see you all on Sunday at 10. Looking forward to an amazing year together!

Hi Everyone!
Now that the holidays are over and beginning a new year, we will continue our ABC’s of God‘s character, and continue learning about how to hear God’s voice. It was great to have Jim and Loreen Robertson jump in to teach a few weeks back! We look forward to their next surprise visit.
Do you wonder how God speaks to our kids? Here’s a peek into one young heart who is hearing from the Lord and responding to His voice.
Eleven-year-old Lyla Hamer was helping me in preschool on Sunday. The Elementary kids were writing their words on rocks like the adults were in the sanctuary. Lyla said to me, “You know, I think my word is supposed to be patience, because I’ve been having a hard time being short tempered. So I think God wants me to work on patience”. The scripture she found is Proverbs 15:18. Her rock says, “Hot tempers cause arguments, but patience brings peace”. Her rock word is PATIENCE.
Yes, God is speaking to our kids
