Stacy and I dream about a world where we are all partners in doing the work that brings down God’s Kingdom to earth. We long to see Jesus high and lifted up in our community. Our greatest desire is to help people give the whole of who they are to Jesus so they can love Him wholeheartedly and love people freely. The Lord has asked us to step out of our understanding of “Western Church”, and instead pioneer a new path that unlocks a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit among His people. In 2010, God engineered a massive change for our family. He said to our hearts: “The world is hurting. It is starving for the Gospel, and you’re blessing blessed people”. Two years later we moved, left an incredible twenty-one year position at a mega church, and I became Lead Pastor of Conejo Church whose mantra is “Jesus. Love. Revolution”.
Stacy and I, along with some dear friends, founded a non-profit in Ventura County called A.C.T.I.O.N. (Area Christians Taking Initiative On Needs) which unites over 100 churches to do the works of Jesus. We serve nearly 15,000 people annually through this ministry. I am a missional strategist who is passionate about seeing the Body of Christ working together and engaged in serving and loving the community in Jesus’ name. I’m a graduate of Wheaton College and Fuller Theological Seminary. Stacy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts/Spanish and has done graduate work at California Lutheran University and Fuller Seminary. She is the Director of James Storehouse, a non-profit that serves the needs of foster children and families in Ventura County and Los Angeles. James Storehouse was launched out of Conejo Church and now serves over 8000 kids and youth in foster care each year! I pledged my heart to Stacy over 25 years ago, and we are blessed with three wonderful kids- Luke, Joshua, and Isabella.
